Bambusee has teamed up with Sahawood to produce a range of fashionable wooden sunglasses at its workshops in East Java, Indonesia. Together with Bambusee, Sadar Hati also provides employment opportunities for ex-convicts who learned woodworking skills while serving their sentence. Sadar Hati also implements harm reduction programs to minimize the spread of HIV/ AIDS.
Sahawood sunglasses come in a traditional Indonesian batik pouch, hand stitched and naturally dyed. This is packaged in a recycled cardboard box for delivery.
